Reward Sites

One fact about me, I love freebies, coupons and deals. My favorite thing to do on the internet is search for coupons and freebies.

I have joined many sites that promise free stuff in exchange for shopping through them, searching, playing games, etc. Only a very few deliver. These are the ones that I have been repeatedly paid by and have found it very easy to earn enough points to redeem on an almost monthly basis. These are not get rich schemes, but just a way to save a little money. Who can't use an extra $5-10 a month?

RecycleBank:
Get points for watching videos, entering codes on specially marked packages, referring friends, and recycling. Redeem points for coupons, gift cards, magazine subscriptions and more.

SwagBucks:
Get points for logging in, playing games, watching videos, answering polls, searching, printing and using coupons and more! Just 450 points gets you a $5 Amazon gift card. I earn about one per month and have never spent a dime!

MyPoints:
My absolute FAVORITE program. You get points for reading emails, shopping, printing and redeeming coupons, playing games, answering poll questions, and much, much more! I have redeemed for over $200 in gift cards over the past year and I very rarely actually shop online.
They do not have a direct referral link that can be posted, I can only get referrals by sending them an email. If you wish to join MyPoints via my link, please send me an email at ga_lostgirl at yahoo.com and I will send you a referral email ASAP

The following are reward programs that don't reward you for referrals or online activities. They reward you for buying their products and entering the special codes found on the products.

MyCokeRewards:
Enter codes found on specially marked Coke and PowerAde products. Redeem points for coupons, magazine subscriptions, discounts and more!
http://www.mycokerewards.com

Stouffer's Dinner Club:
Enter codes found on specially marked Stouffer's products. Also earn bonus points for answering their monthly survey and poll questions. Redeem points for coupons, free stuff, gift cards, and more!
http://dinnerclub.stouffers.com/

If you buy any of those products and do not wish to participate in the points program, please consider emailing me your codes, I can always use them.

If you have any questions for me, or would like to join MyPoints or send me codes, please email me at ga_lostgirl at yahoo.com. Please put something referencing "Blogspot post Rewards" in the title of the email so I don't delete it thinking it's spam. Thank you!

Random Thought of The Day...

I woke up at about 3am and couldn't get back to sleep this morning. As I laid in bed, I thought of an email I received yesterday and it led me to other thoughts...

Have you ever been at a flea market or thrift store and saw a one-of-a-kind widget? It was beautiful and took your breath away. You thought, "I'd love to own that, but this place is huge, so I'm going to walk around some more and see if there's anything I like better." You spend hours walking around and can't find anything you want more than that first widget. You go running back to the place you saw it, only to see someone walking toward you holding it in their hands. They beat you to that widget because you wasted time thinking something was better out there. You will never have another chance because this widget was one-of-a-kind. There's not another one like it out there anywhere in the universe.

Moral of the story: If you see something you want, get it. Don't waste time looking for something better. If it's one-of-a-kind, chances are there is nothing better. Don't lose your one chance.

Music Monday 10/12/09

My Music Monday pick for today is a relatively unknown band from Greenville, SC, Andy Lehman and The Night Moves.

I attended the Needtobreathe concert at the Handlebar in Greenville, SC last night and Andy Lehman opened the show with an acoustic set. I was impressed with what I heard, so I had to listen to more when I got home.

You can check him out on Myspace, Facebook, and his official site.

I recommend "All Along the Roads We Walked" to start.

You can pick up his new album, LowCountry, on iTunes.

You won't be disappointed!

Music Monday 10/5/09

Today's pick for Music Monday is...

Serena Ryder

I saw her in concert last Thursday night with Needtobreathe and Matthew Mayfield at the Loft in Atlanta, GA. She is an amazing performer. She performed a song called "Melancholy Blue" and the only instrument she used was her voice. It was the most beautiful song I have heard in a long time.

This video is not from that concert. Unfortunately, I don't see one on YouTube from the Atlanta concert.

My favorite song of hers (at the moment) is "All For Love" from her new CD, "Is it O.k.".

Woman reports theft of 20 Fruit Roll-Ups

Two teenagers broke into a Cabin Lane Drive home and ate several Fruit Roll-Ups, before the homeowner caught them lounging around her house at 11:30 p.m. Saturday, according to an Athens-Clarke police report.

One of the teens told the woman he was friends with her niece and that she let them in. But after the teens left, the woman noticed a broken kitchen window and 20 missing Fruit Roll-Ups. The teens also took a jug of fruit juice and several pieces of jewelry, police said.

The pair split up upon leaving, but police later found them in the neighborhood and were able to return nine of the Fruit Roll-Ups to the woman. Police also found a bag of marijuana on one of the teens, according to the report.

So let me get this straight. They stole jewelry and had drugs on them, but the part that makes the headlines is the STOLEN FRUIT ROLL-UPS?

The jewelry gets a teeny mention halfway through the article and the drugs aren't even mentioned until the end of the article, but the STOLEN FRUIT ROLL-UPS get a headline.

Thank you, Athens Clarke County. Glad to know the cops are doing their job and keeping those pesky fruit roll-up thieves off the streets. Don't let them off. Next time, they might steal an actual piece of fruit, like a banana or something.
